the natural splits and cracks caused from the wood drying out have been filled with sunset gold resin

Chestnut has lovely figure and this piece has beautiful Yellow and golden hues

American ash and black walnut jewellery box

with sap wood running around both sides and top which adds a nice natural frame to the piece

I then sliced it up on my bandsaw and air dried for two years
